Hunter Army Airfield Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon - March 5

On Saturday, March 5, Tominac Fitness Center at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah plays host to one of Georgia's first triathlons of 2011. The event begins at 11:00 am (finally - a reasonable start time!) and includes a 300-meter pool swim, a 14.4 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run. There will also be a duathlon with a one mile run, a 12.4 mile bike ride and a 3.1 mile run.Registration is open on imAthlete. Active duty military receive a 50% discount by entering the code found on the Savannah Triathlon site and presenting their military identification card at the event.
If received by March 1, registration is $50 for active duty and $85 for all others, while race day fees are $52.50 for active duty and $95 for all others.

Sweet, christening in the new tri year in GA. $85 is kinda expensive for a Sprint Tri, I am assuming that some of those proceeds are going to the Fitness center. I am digging the 11:00am start time. I like those for shorter races (incl. 5K runs), except in June/July in GA = Too Hot!
